Giving Your Child a Blessed Start
HRD coordinates your Aqeeqah (or Aqiqah) sacrifice, ensuring the distribution reaches the communities most in need across the globe, thereby maximising its blessings. In numerous regions, the high cost of meat makes it an unattainable luxury for many families. The Aqeeqah Project addresses this need, offering these families a special opportunity to prepare a meat meal for their loved ones, providing both joy and essential nourishment. HRD’s committed teams distribute fresh meat packages to the most vulnerable, targeting populations struggling with severe food insecurity.
To uphold transparency, HRD provides every donor with a detailed report for their Aqeeqah. This documentation includes photographic evidence, the distribution location, the count of beneficiaries, and genuine testimonials.
Celebrating a Newborn
The Sunnah of Aqeeqah
The birth of a child is a time of immense happiness and celebration for any family. Amidst this joy, Islam emphasizes our obligation to remember and support the less fortunate. The Aqeeqah ceremony, an established tradition (Sunnah) of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), beautifully embodies this mix of gratitude to Allah and social responsibility.
What is Aqeeqah?
Aqeeqah is a Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) wherein parents sacrifice animals following the birth of their child: two goats or sheep for a boy, and one sheep or goat for a girl. Muslims are also encouraged to shave the newborn’s head and donate the equivalent weight of the hair in silver to those in vulnerable circumstances, ensuring the new child’s blessings are shared with people facing hardship.
